The Crystal King

Born a mortal 2,950 years before faster-than-light travel broke. The Crystal King is now an ancient evil sitting on a throne in an as-yet-unlocated asteroid belt. To stand before it is to know madness. Once every year, it drinks the blood of a King.

The King rules over a happy little town of horrors called Darcasm. It cares deeply for the people of its rule, but stays locked away in its vampire's castle.

It is constantly locked in an ongoing romantic drama that has lasted over 2,916 years. The Crystal King is a cold but deeply romantic lover. His 9 wives (some exes, some current) all fondly remember his embrace.

Darcasm is the mining capital of the galaxy. From the deepest, most metal-rich mines in the whole galaxy. The city of Darcasm has never tapped the veins. Using the Non-Euclidean mountain ranges, the Crystal King has supplied the galaxy with precious and semi-precious metals and stones. All silver released from the Mines of Darcasm is nullified of their holy properties using an alchemical tarnish, rubbed onto the silver.

The Crystal King has collected the finest nobility to fill his court. All of them oversee a network of vampires and horrors. The Court has one constant primary goal: to deliver the Crystal King's yearly Meal. The Kings all arrive through the mechanisms of Drama. They all stand before his throne, feast with him at his table, or totally wig out as they approach his castle yard and see him looking down from his balcony. The Crystal King drinks the blood of mostly horrible kings; the court picks the worst king of the Fabled Galaxy each year and begins leading him on his path.

It feeds on tyrents with the coldest delight. Some say it is the true king of the Fabled Galaxy. In fact, the followers of The King call it the "Crystal Galaxy." Open call for stories where horrible kings die at the hands of the Crystal King!
