The Endless Mountains
and Non-Euclidean Space
Impossible geometry is commonplace in the Fabled Galaxy. The planets appear as spheres when viewed from far away, yet the mountain ranges connect the ground of worlds together. The Endless Mountian range, is a mountian range that runs across the Fabled Galaxy.
It's easy to get lost in the endless mountain, and often lost things end up confused, disoriented, and on an entirely new planet. Many magical things find refuge in the endless mountins.
Majority of cultures in the Fabled Galaxy fear the endless mountains and tell stories of the strange things that come from the hills. Most cultures create legends discuraging the youth and foolheardy of the fabled galaxy from adventuring into the endless mountians.
The Endless Mountains are filled with cryptids, vampires, living scarcrows and other abauminations. It is also a space filled with strange mystical life. The godesses and gods build their homes on the mountians over looking their planets and people.
In the past, when civilization reach peak levels they begin to connect infastructure into the Endless Mountians. In that time they build stairways and paths to neighboring worlds for trade. When the civilization passes on, the mountians become feared legends and the roads fall into ruins. Lost people in the Endless Mountians often find the path to new worlds from these ruins.
People fear the Endless Mountains, but the mountains call to people. Hikers, climbers, thrill seekers, and sometimes just those out on a stroll, are often lost in the endless mountains. Their adventures and horrors sometimes make it back to the land they left. Once a year, a tyrant king is called down this path.
