In 3051, faster-than-light
travel broke. A gash apeared in the fabric of the universe.
We start building the Fabled Galaxy Timeline, In the year 3051, with what most residents are calling "The end." In an instant, across the Fabled Galaxy, the engines that powered ships between worlds began spinning on nothing. A ripping sound was heard in every inch of the galaxy, and a tear appeared in the skies. Ships and the souls on board were left stranded in isolated space. No one knows for sure why the FTL broke. But all can point to the Gash.

A new era begins, a time of stranded ships and isolated worlds. People settle on the nearest planets they can reach. Other ships are trapped in the void between worlds with no hospitable planets to settle, and begin a long frozen nap. Chriogenically frozen, the electronics of the ships are placed in stand-by, and the travelers wait for rescue, which may never come. It's up to the individual nations of the Fabled Galaxy to rescue their lost/frozen citizens from the cold void of space.
For the player planets of the Fabled Galaxy, this begins a 50-year period of isolation. Planets will be charged with taking-in the FTL reffugees and setting them up with land. The next major goal, is to find a way to rescue your citizens stranded to the stars. How long will the people of your world, be frozen in time waiting for rescue?

While the civilization of your planet works at recovering the people, understanding the event that ended long-distance space travel, and dealing with an unprecedented refugee crisis, the Endless Mountains begin to call to the heroic and foolhardy. Ancient evils are beginning to stir. The proud and happy people of a galactic utopia have nightmares and dreams of wonders, all coming from the mountains. Many mystics speak in whispers about the Horrors that seem to threaten the unraveling of reality itself.
